Meet Brian Ricks Private Earth Science Tutor
A chemical engineer with more than 10 years of experience in the tech sector, I started tutoring when I was in high school. Three years ago, I made the decision to leave engineering and become a full-time tutor. I have always loved math and science, and I learned that tutoring others helped me refine my own skills.
I was valedictorian of my high school class, and I went on to Clarkson University as a chemical engineering major. I tutored throughout my college career and graduated at the top of my major. I served as a teaching assistant during grad school at Tufts University. I also held jobs as an engineer and scientist, primarily focusing on surface chemistry, thermal analysis, clean energy, and measurement techniques.
I moved to San Diego after grad school, and I kept tutoring while interviewing for engineering positions. I had new students come to me for tutoring each week, and I soon decided to tutor full-time. I founded Bricks Tutoring in 2015, and I relaunched my tutoring company in New York after moving here in 2018.

Earth Science Tutoring Rates, Hours, and Locations
I am available Sunday through Thursday from 10am until 10pm.
One student: $60 for the first hour and $40 per additional hour
Two students: $80 for the first hour and $40 per additional hour
Three students: $90 for the first hour and $60 per additional hour
Please note that my minimum is one hour, and payment is due at the end of each session. I accept cash, checks, and credit cards.
I will meet you on campus, at your home, in a coffee shop, or wherever you like.
